I have been a keen runner on
and off for 7 years, ranging from training 6-7 days a week and clocking up 40 miles, to doing sod all for weeks. I started running
to train
for orienteering, oh and because my friend Nev said that I couldn't.
I run with Headington
Road Runners, which is a very friendly club and caters for the very
talented right down to the very slow like me. My finest hour was
running the Reading Half Marathon in 1h 54 min, more recently I ran the New York
Marathon in 2003 taking 4 hours and 15 min. I may do another marathon in
2005, possibly Abingdon.

| I have also done quite a few long
things recently including the KIMM
mountain marathon, a 17 mile LDWA, the Grizzly 20 mile, the LAMM
mountain marathon in June 2003 "read my LAMM report
here", and the SLMM
mountain marathon in July 2003 "read my SLMM report
here". I have really enjoyed these and hope to
do lots more between now and the marathon.
I have also been Hashing a few times with Guildford and Oxford
OH3. Its fun and alcoholic, give it a try.
